矛盾啊！"...,which..." 究竟是否遵守Manhattan里面所讲的Touch原则？

正方：
Manhattan OG12版 chapter6 第91页说 "Use WHICH only to refer to the noun immediately preceding it---never to refer to an entire clause."
OG12 11题的E选项的解释：The relative clause beginning with "which" apparently(but nonsensically) describes the closest nouns, "mud or clay", rather than "bricks".

反方：
OG12 26题E选项中，“which" 指的是"letters"。但是按照Touch原则，”which“不是应该指”Dickinson"吗？
OG12 98题E选项的解释中 “...North America, which makes no sense..." 在我看来which 是指前面的整个从句的。但Touch原则用在这里，which应该修饰的是North America。

模棱两可方：
OG12 63题E选项的解释。effectively making the claim that the extraction rate(six billion cubic feet) enables the extraction rate. which 到底是指紧贴它的名词还是词组还是句子？

疑问1：Touch 原则针对which是否正确，怎么用。以上的正反两方矛盾吗？
疑问2：OG12 78题E选项。which 修饰的是sloth 还是Fossils？因为E的解释里面没有提到关于Which的错误。
疑问3：OG12 33题B选项: ”Because of plunging prices for computer chips, which is due to an oversupplay," 答案的解释说which 是ambiguous的。但是没有明确说明which在B选项下修饰的到底是谁。

根据语义，可以跳跃指代的。

一般来说很少指代到前面句子整句的内容，which作为代词，要找到前面一个noun,可以是最邻近的一个意群核心词，也可以是最邻近的那个noun

没有放之四海皆准的标准，看情况看意思。如果要分析的话，看动词，分析动作发起者。
