现在回复不知道对LZ有没有帮助，
A, 语法笔记上提到过 ving+comma+ 后面的一定要直接加主语,不能是时间
B she and novelist感觉像是指两个人
C the first Swedish writer to win而不是wining
E that不能指人!

这位NN你好，我也看了Ron关于这道题目的解答，可是对于A选项的解释我比较不能明白。。。
我是这么想的
①Ron 的解释也就是说这里的turning away....修饰了 in 1909？可是对于Ving+comma的句子在句子之前的，不应该是修饰接其后句子的主语或者是整个句子么（我今天才看了baby姐的总结，就遇到了个不符合的，纠结）
②时间状语可以提后吧。。。。
请NN进一步指教。。。

你想这时候v-ing作为noun modifier需要遵从touch-rule，所以就近修饰主语，对不对？
如果你理解为作为adverbial modifier放在句首，也没什么问题，不过那样的话，因为"in 1909"也是adverbial modifier，所以就成了：
(adverbial modifier), (adverbial modifier) subject + verb + object
这个结构很awkward，你可以感觉到。
不过一般来说，你把句首v-ing作为noun modifier修饰主语去理解，都没错的，对解题也方便。

如果单说initial modifier的问题，A可以换一下"in 1909"的位置，变成

这样的话，initial modifier直接修饰"Selma Lagerlof"这是没有问题的，但是句子的逻辑还是有问题，好像说：1. turning away发生在1909; 2. 在1909年"was a writer" （换句话说，之前或者之后不是writer）....

所以这个句子，真的就必须像D那么写，不妨看看Ron的解释，体会一下那个appositive多么恰当。
