Based on information from your admissions application (centers or concentrations of interest, etc), or from your background, we thought you might be interested in the Center for the Advancement of Social Entrepreneurship (CASE). CASE is a research and education center based Duke University's Fuqua School of Business which promotes the entrepreneurial pursuit of social impact through the thoughtful adaptation of business expertise. Given your interest, CASE would like to make you aware of several opportunities as you make your acceptance decision:
CASE Social Sector Scholarship - Are you planning to seek employment in social entrepreneurship or in a social impact role after graduation? CASE awards two merit-based scholarships each year to individuals with nonprofit backgrounds who are looking to acquire business skills for use in their pursuit of social impact. The scholarship provides up to $25,000 in financial support consisting of two years of tuition support at $10,000 per year and one summer internship support of up to $5,000. Candidates who are selected for the CASE Scholarship, who are also Fuqua merit award recipients, may only receive up to full tuition in total scholarship awards.
Visit www.caseatduke.org/mba/financialaid for information on the CASE Scholarship and to apply. Detailed information on the scholarship program, application information and FAQs are available here. Note: Application deadline for the CASE Scholarship is March 27, 2012. "Blue Devil Weekend" (April 13-15, 2012) - Admitted students and their partners or spouses are invited to a weekend full of opportunities to interact with current students, faculty, and the administration. For general information about the weekend, contact The Duke MBA Office of Admissions. At various times during the weekend, CASE students and staff will be available to answer your questions about our programs.
Browse the CASE Website - If you have not done so already, a great way to learn about our classes, extracurricular activities, financial aid, career planning support, and other programs is to browse thoroughly the extensive content in the "MBA Program" section of the CASE website at www.caseatduke.org/mba. If you have any questions about our courses or anything else related to CASE, don't hesitate to be in touch with us at case@fuqua.duke.edu. |
