已经看过前人的解释and discussion了，似乎E是最合适的答案, 但好像E也不是非常正确。

就是do对应什么？respire or continue ? 逻辑上当然是respire

但语法上，把它解读成 just as human beings continue to respire也未尝不可。这样的话逻辑就不对了，当初我就是这么解读把它当错误答案的。

试比较下题

programmed to think like people.
(A) are able to be programmed to think like people
(B) were able to be programmed to think as people
(C) can be programmed to think as people can

（C）是错误的，因为 as people can 解读成 as people can be programmed to think是不合逻辑的。那么，如果改成as people do
是不是就算正确了呢（按照081的逻辑）

请大家讨论指教

Good question!

C is still not correct if you change it into "as people do"

Because "do" here is still can be understood as "..programmed to think"

We only can compare with two nouns here.

In addition, "can be programmed to think.." CAN here is not appropriate because

AI was not ready at that time.

是不是 just as , more than 就近修饰V+ to do 中的 to do ?

如果是这样的话，AI那题改成 could be programmed to think as people do 似乎对。。？

再compare一题：

For the reason I said above, I still don't think "could be programmed to think as people do" 对.

For compare一题. I think "did" 对应 "live".

看了亲们的讨论觉得很受启发可是既然 just as human beings do中的do可以对应不定式to respire 那前面computer那题中：as people do不是应该也是可以的么？还有几个其他问题求教：
1、just like是不是出现就是错的呀，好像是OG说wordy？
2、just as后面可以加词吗？
3、similar to只能做定语和表语？
4、seeming和seem like都是错的？

求NN指教~3Q！！
