I just did my GRE yestersay and my score is as above, I want to say thank you to those who shared the study materials here and it helped me
I know my verbal score is weak compared to many, but as I am not aiming to apply for top graduate schools in US, I hope my result is enough. For Quant part, I think the only key to do well is to do fast and so you have a lot of time checking the answers, read every single word of the questions CAREFULLY as I believe most mistakes are just because of one's carelessness, dont make assumptions as you need reasons to support every single answer, I suggest calculating first and so you get the answer and then you can do the reverse to plug in answers to test out (given you can do the calculation quick). Think of different scenarios.
For verbal part I really have no clues how to improve. I do not think my study helped much as the memorizing vocab part has driven me crazy already, i merely had 1 month to study, I did not even have time to study too many vocabs, and what happened is I needed time to recall what I studied and it took too much time so a lot of cases I just guessed, it justified my low score. Actually I believe my English is not even bad but the verbal test is beyond what I can handle, I do admit though I do not read much and thus I do not have a wide pool, I use English in a daily basis and so please do feel bad if you did not do well as well. I do not think it is very easy to boost the verbal score.
Good luck with your studies and grad school applications
