正确答案是E，我能很顺利地排除BD，不知道AC为什么错，A是不是因为way后面少同位语从句引导词啊，并且，正确选项E中的just as难道不要求和so搭配吗，再说后面那个they有没有指代不明？

第1题：“，”之后的部分是fund的后置定语。A用介宾结构，BE用定语从句，CD用过去分词相当于省略了which is，所以也是定语从句，不过是被动语态。
首先，定语从句>介宾结构，排除A
其次，fund是物，自己不能intend to do sth.，所以用被动语态，则CD对。
D中的its，在前文出现过，那个its指代Alaska’s，这里的its却要指代the state’s。一个句子里的同一个代词不能指代不同对象，故排除D。
最后C对。
再细说一下BE的不是：B：intention是由intend这个动词变来的名词，称为抽象名词，抽象名词不如动词简洁。而且B中定语从句里的they和their都应该指代state，但state是单数，故错误。排除B。
E：同错，they指代state，错。

第2题你确定答案不是A？？？
C不太好，因为用的是breathing,动名词，动名词不如动词简洁，AE都用的是breathe，更好一些。
但我觉得A说得没有错，而且比E简洁，更何况A还是原文啊！为什么不选A呢？？
你这是哪里的题目，我帮你找找答案？
