选A。。B和D的different than 要改为different from..C我觉得in contrast to引导的比较对象不对等，应该是antigenic drift 和antigenic shift比较。
E用的是封号，封号必须连接两个完整的主谓结构，封号后面的显然不是完整句子

E的which有指代不清的嫌疑。。。可以就近指代antigenic drift也可以理解成指代“in contrast to antigenic drift”整句

B D的different than是错的

C根本就不是一句完整的话，是被分成了几个短语

2楼的分析是错的。C是一句话。结构是主句加从句，是典型比较结构。
即BVC，in contrast to/like/unlike A..A和B必须对等
对E的分析也是错的。白勇语法明确指出，which,whose等引导的非限制性定语从句就近指代最接近它的名词，在GMAT语法中不可能指代整句话
