According to a recent report, cheating among college and university students is on the rise. However, Groveton College has successfully reduced student cheating by adopting an honor code, which calls for students to agree not to cheat in their academic endeavors and to notify a faculty member if they suspect that others have cheated. Groveton's honor code replaced a system in which teachers closely monitored students; under that system, teachers reported an average of thirty cases of cheating per year. In the first year the honor code was in place, students reported twenty-one cases of cheating; five years later, this figure had dropped to fourteen. Moreover, in a recent survey, a majority of Groveton students said that they would be less likely to cheat with an honor code in place than without. Thus, all colleges and universities should adopt honor codes similar to Groveton's in order to decrease cheating among students.
Write a response in which you discuss what questions would need to be answered in order to decide whether the recommendation and the argument on which it is based are reasonable. Be sure to explain how the answers to these questions would help to evaluate the recommendation.

In this arguement the author concludes that all colleges and universities should adopt honor codes similar to Groveton's in order to decrease cheating among students. The conclusion is based on the Groveton students said that they would be less likely to cheat with an honor code in place than without. In addition, the arguer asserts that after the Groveton adopt the honor the figure was decreased. However, the statement alone does not constitute a logical argument in favor of its conclusion and fails to provide compelling support making this arguement sound.
First problem with the argutment is that the code calls for students to agree not to cheat in their academic endeavors doesn't mean the students won't cheat. None of the sutdents wants to say himself cheat. Moreover, this method exsit erroneous. The method is based on suspect. However, it would be unaccurate because the suspect means guess. And this method would ruin the reletive among the students.
Second problem with the arguement is that the report of the cheat has dropped to forteen from 21 can not hold the warter. Firstly, it doesn't say the tend of the cheat always decline. Maybe among the 5 years it initially incresed then dropped down. Secondly the students maybe loss the patient would not want to suspect others. And the teachers didn't notice that point still rely on the students' suspect.
Another promblem with the arguement is that the arthor recommended in recent survey the students say the would be less likely to cheat with an honor code in place than without. That can convince us, because the students originaly do not want to cheat. Even if this method is avilable, the evidence of cheat of the students was declined, that it is only in the Groveton school not all the collegues.
To sum up, this recommendation is not well supported. To convince me that all colleges and universities adopt honor codes similar to Groveton's in order to decrease cheating among students, the speaker would need to provide more information about the method is really useful.

1.is that the code calls for students to agree not to cheat in their academic endeavors doesn't mean the students won't cheat.,这句does没有主语。你可以加一个which
2.is based on suspect。。suspect名词意思是嫌疑犯,这里用的不妥
3.偏短,每一段略显简略
