求NN解救complex gerund，simple gerund平行问题啊！

不用理会LZ原题上面的许多胡写乱画，问题如下，在manhattan里面讲了平行分三类，
l simple gerund__ exploiting
只可以自己全部都是simple gerunds
正确平行就是exploiting,cultivating，harvesting，OG12的解释上面也是这么举例说了一句，那么harvesting就可以是simple gerund?????????

lcomplex gerund__ harvesting????????
可以与Action nouns或者自己平行，

Action nouns ——Cultivation exploitation
正确平行就是：Cultivation exploitation harvesting （答案B中的），但是之前OG自己举例的时候不是说
exploiting,cultivating，harvesting三者平行？也就是注定了harvesting是指的 simple gerund，这里又与 Action nouns ——Cultivation exploitation 平行，神马东西啊？？？？？？？？？？？说明其实harvesting是complex gerund？？？？？？？？？？
l Concrete nouns——e.g.
Rock, continent, electron, politician,region, holiday, week
Harvest是什么名词？？？？？？？？？是不是concrete nouns????????????????????

这里需要一个含有动作含义的名词所以要用harvesting

谢谢Harris啊！等了两天，终于有人鸟我了，但是我查了longman, 上面对harvest的名词解释是这样的har?vest
1 the time when crops are gathered from the fields, or the act of gathering them

2the crops that have been gathered, or the amount and quality of the crops gathered
那就是harvest可以强调动作的，也可以不强调动作啊。那么既然不强调动作了为什么正确答案B选项，还要用harvesting，想表达的是什么？因为harvest本身就是可以作为名词，为什么不直接用harvest，这里用动名词有什么区别？

然后，回到你的问题，从你查阅的资料来看，我之前的回复是不严谨的。然而，既然harvest有多重含义，用harvesting来强调动作以保持结构平行，我认为这样的句子应该更明确，更严谨。

再次，我说过无数遍了，诚然，gmat题目中，有不少选项是存在绝对错误以供我们排除的，但是，仍然有不少答案是比较出来的，这时候选项没有绝对的正确或错误，只有更好或更不好。正如本题，gmac也没有变态到其它部分完全一样，只留下个harvest和harvesting来给你比较。

最后，如果不以研究语言学为目的，过多地执念于未划线部分的用法或者非正确选项的正确性判定，这便是舍本逐末了，记住，gmat是考察思辨能力和决策能力的，即便在句子改错中。其实，我遇见过很多高分的人，他们并不见得每个错误都能一一分辨，甚至，很多别的同学所纠结的问题，他们从来都没有考虑过。他们所做到的就是，把最好的挑出来。

恩恩，灰常谢谢老湿滴，元旦快乐！我在manhattan的论坛上面找到我纠结的问题了，原来是我一直没有真正理解到simple gerund与complex gerund的区别，表面意思化了书上的解释Complex GerundPhrases are “Nouns Through and Through”，Simple GerundsPhrases are “Nouns on theOutside, Verbs on the Inside.”,实际上是这样不是的，看见-ing,就判断是哪个是不对的，harvesting可以使simple 也可以是complex，哈哈
