The Wallenstein study indicates that even after a decade young men and women still experience some of the effects of a divorce occurring when a child.

A: occurring when a child

B: occurring when children

C: that occurred when a child

D: that occurred when they were children

E: that has occurred as each was a child

答案是D

状语的省略就是从句主语和主句主语一致，从句谓语是系动词时，可以把从句的主谓都省略掉。 B中肯定是因为occuring没有表示动作的完成，我改成occurred。。。如果选项变成 that occurred when children可以么？

不可以，动词不一样，一个是be动词一个是实意动词

你的意思是说。。当主语谓语和从句谓语也要一致时，都是系动词时，从句谓语才能省略？
这句是因为experience.....when they were children...experience和were。。所以were不能省略？
