OG SC42 系动词&动词？

这道题大家已经都讨论很久了，不过我想问一下，有关系动词&动词可否平行的问题？

我的意思是，A的话我明白；
但是如果选B的话，从a giant fungus开始，主语是fungus。that is an interwoven filigree of mushrooms and rootlike tentacles形容之前的fungus，而spawned by a single fertilized spore some 10,000 years ago可以算作形容之前的rootlike tentacles。
后面的and extends for more than 30 acres in the soil of a Michigan forest，extends如果作动词的话，可以算作和前面的is这个系动词并列吗？

不知道各位NN懂不懂我意思。。。

我觉得不能这么想，因为如果这里是和系动词平行的话就应该算是从句平行，就应该补出that，所以这里可以排除是不是会和is 平行得可能性啦~~

我也非常疑惑这个问题，我觉得这里不是理解为be动词和动词平行而是定从that....与动词extends平行，除了时态问题外，难道不能平行吗？恕我挖坟，实在不懂啊。。。。
