个人认为还原后的句子应该是Halley’s Comet caused such a worldwide sensation in no other historical sightingas as in its return in 1910-1911.
因此in no other...与 in its...对比
只有C对称.

翻译过来就是A对于B的作用(影响, 重要性)就如同X对Y的作用(影响, 重要性)一样.
