AB中的intention降格；E里的they无指代对象排除；请问D里的exhausting its oil reserves有什么问题，根据主动由于被动原则，exhausting its oil reserves应该比C里的 oil reserves are exhausted 要好啊？

我就只粘正确选项吧，less of certain pollutants than those burning gasoline or diesel fuel
选项里有把 less 换成 fewer 的，我感觉这里pollutants不是复数吗，那就应该是可数的，可为啥还是用 less 修饰的？

GMAT没有那么绝对的主动优于被动原则。D错是因为exhausting需要有逻辑主语，而这个逻辑主语不能是【Alaska】这个地理名词。

第二题的是一个比较tricky的地方。有的时候我们看到pollutants或numbers的时候，我们是在暗含表达【这个东西的量是多少】，而不是【pollutants的种类的多少】也就是【The amount of pollutants】，而不是【the number of pollutants】。所以用less修饰amount~
