白勇语法里有一题：

书中说，其中C选项的一个错误是：in support of ...语法上应作定于修饰its English-speaking members，但逻辑上应作状语修饰had acquiesced to...修饰对象不单一，排除C

看的我一头雾水，请问大牛们怎么判定一个成分分别在语法上和逻辑上的修饰对象？
