这题给的正解是c，可是the strengthening the economy of the south这是什么句法？the N the N 能这样用两个the吗？

nn能否再解说一下a和e有什么不对？谢谢！

with不能反映出through的意思，因此从C，D中选答案是比较好理解的；

但the strengtherning的用法我总觉得很别扭，请教高人指点，前面加the是因为后面有of the south...的修饰么？

我在Google里面查了查the strengthening the，查到一些句子，然后我再回过头想想，感觉似乎是这样的：

这题考点之一是dedicate的常见搭配用法 dedicate sth to sth，这个to是介词，所以后面一定加的是名词性的词做介词宾语。动名词可以做介词宾语，现在分词一般好像不太做介词的宾语。所以答案C的后面这个strengthening the economy是动名词短语，而不是现在分词，在该动名词短语前面再加个定冠词the，就成了 the strengthening the economy 了。

我自己瞎琢磨的，哎，说实话就算这样我也不知道为什么在这里，这个strengthening动名词要加个定冠词the 呢。

其他经常见到的动名词做介词宾语的，也没见到多少加the的，比如：

I am looking forward to coming to USA.

I have got used to working in the nights.

哎，搞不懂，我的SC最差了……郁闷……

我觉得doing前面加了个the 就会强调名词性，记得OG有这个用法，但是我觉得这里变态的是 the doing sth 后面还有sth，不是应该the strengthening of the economic?

the economic strengthening意思上理解应该是经济的加强。而本句意思的重心应该是加强经济。AE逻辑意思不对。

如果换一个角度，with improvement of soil and diversification of corps这个结构不是非常的wordy和awkward么。。。C中的soil improvement and crop diversification貌似清晰简单些。。。个人愚见
