求助两道OG 题，关于代词和修饰语

第一道是OG 107

这道题目原句就是正确选项。我的问题是，这个which指代的是technique还是emission。由于原题中C\D选项都出现了A technique originally developed for detecting air pollutants, called proton-induced X-ray emission, which can quiclky......这样的结构，OG自己的解释是which从句错误的修饰了emission，所以我就纠结了，A选项也是emission和which摆在一起，那有什么不一样呢？

第二题是OG 105
Beatrix Potter, in her book illustrations, carefully coordinating them with her narratives.....当然这个原句是存在错误的，但是我想知道的是关于代词的问题。这个them可以指代illustrations么？在如果名词是在介词短语中的话，还能够被代词指代么？

107：which一般都是就近修饰的，这里是修饰emission的吧
105：代词指代要没有歧义，这里只能指代illustrations吧，就这一个复数名词
