两道LZM语法4-9& 4-12

今天复习到LZM第四部分,奇怪,以前看的时候没有问题的,今天倒是有点想不明白了,找了前辈的提问精选,但没有这两道,所以贴上来,请教大家:

P48 4-9

The Olympic Games helped to keep peace among the pugnacious states of the Greek world in that a sacred truce was proclaimed during the festival's month.

答案是C. 在解释时,就说是根据主动优先原则判断的.

我想问的是,主动优先原则的优先级有多高,能在开始就用吗? 像本题我觉得A好(虽然是用了被动),而C中的THEY 让我有指代不当的怀疑(是指代The Olympic Games吗? 合理吗?)

P50 4-12

For many people, household labor remains demanding even if able to afford household appliances their grandparents would find a miracle.

A. even if able to afford household appliances their grandparents would find a miracle

B. despite being able to afford household appliances their grandparents would find a miracle

C. even if they can afford household appliances their grandparents would have found miracles

答案是C. 我感觉E好,因为就"be able to" 在这里表示有能力购买, 似乎可以说得通.另外后面定语从句部分也没有什么问题,应该可以这样说吧? E为什么错了呢?

另外想问个问题: "P15 E1-3 的句子" Among the reasons for the decline of New England agriculture in the last three decades were the high cost of land, the ...., and a ...."

我知道上述句子应该是对的,原句嘛,但怎么脑子有印象说介词短语不可以作主语, 不知道是否跟以上句子有冲突?

4-9 -The Olympic Games是专用名词，应该作为单数；A中proclaimed是瞬间动词，during表示一段时间，两者不匹配；in that结构错误；被动语态的动作发出者不明确，而C则明确指出；

4-12 -E的表达有几个缺陷，1－appliances对应a miracle，复数对单数；which would have been的表达过于罗嗦，可以省略which而不改变句意；

E1-3 Among介词在句首并不代表作主语，一般表明句子倒装。

能否问一下为什么说"in that" 结构错误; 另外E1-3如果是倒装的话,我怎么觉得主语或宾语不全呢?

（1）同意stoneren得说法，被动没有主动明晰。

（2）但是C有严重的问题，原意是cause-effect relationship，而C体现的是coexistence。

（3）during的问题：我觉得不矛盾，整个月都是proclaim的覆盖范围。

（4）in that=because，没有什么问题。

（5）A的问题是，'s的形式是不是不如of在这里妥帖？请指教。

所以，相比之下，还是D好一点。

4-12

（1）applicances是实的，a miracle是虚的，是不是一定非要单复数一致，不太确定？

（2）曾经听人说果，gmat里can和be able to有区别，但是做完og后我没看出来，请指教。

（3）E后面用be a miracle to sb的形式，我觉得ets喜欢直接用动词表达而不喜欢用个名词词组，比如A help do sth 就比 A be a help for doing sth 好，不是很确定的说。
