(B) the sales of their crops for buying
(C) their selling of crops so as to buy
(D) their selling crops for buying of
(E) the sale of their crops to buy

为什么选E呢？没有思路……谢谢拉

个人认为首先要用to buy，而不是for buying，表示目的用不定式，排除a，b，d；
其次so as to与to的区别：
so as to 可以表示目的也可以表示结果，用于单一主谓结构中，逻辑主语等于句子主语，即句子主语可以执行as to后动词的动作。so as to修饰动词。so...as的搭配只用在否定句中, So…as to 后一般不加被动语态。

相比直接用不定式是正确的。

A。 for doing不是也可以用来表目地吗？

GMAT里表目的首先用to do，可以看一下gmat相关语法；

1. 表示动作的目的最好用to do，如construct sth. to do sth.。
*: for doing是指某事物的具体用途，而to do 则有目的的意思，但用途和目的本来就有交叉的地方，所以没有绝对规则，for doing有持久性的趋势，而to do往往是一次性行为
