逗号+现在分词“默认”作状语修饰前面主语或整个句子。当修饰不到时才有可能修饰到就近的宾语。
此句中critiquing 优先作伴随状语，跟本修饰不到Essay on Heat and Light，反而修饰到了Humphry Davy presented ，变成HD这人发表一样东西的同时对自己发表的这样东西进行批判，扭曲了原意·
