答案是D，我觉得是C，

D中将long before提前不就改变原来的意思了么？！

我当时选的是A, 后来发现这个题的考点是AND前后的对应.C项看似乎对应,但注意,第一句中有MADE 和WAS FASHINABLE两个表谓语的动词, 如果你认为WAS FASHINABLE是修饰EXPATRIATE, 那么WAS应该省略. 希望我的思路正确.

我当时也选的C，但是想想long before是连词吧，连词不能直接跟to do不定式，直接跟不定式的只有疑问代词和疑问副词。我是这么想的哈~

如果是考and前后并列的话，she remained中的she应该可以不要的呀

To Josephine Baker, Paris was her home (redundant, her is not needed here) also, I feel that To josephine baker leading the sentence makes the format of the sentence kind of awkward. To Josephine Baker, Paris was, and she remained.... structurally wierd sentence.

我觉得OG的答案就是权威，C选项解释“Inversion of the expected word order in to be an expatriate was unfashionable is awkward.” 我觉得意思是在讲it is+adj+to do 比to do +be+adj.表达要好，这种表达更准确，有效，不用太在意语法点。

1. C和D比，D说了时间先，然和接着介绍JB的事情，句子比较平衡。再就是long before 接to be不好
2. long before it was fashionable to be an expatriate中的it指代时间，例如，it took me 3hrs to finish 10 SC questions.
