我想知道B为什么不对？都说extended的这个过去式用的不合适，可前面的was不就是表示过去吗？！求解析

extended 的主语是road system，而road system 不能用extended来修饰所以不合适有问题请指正

首先，这题的主语“be extended”一定是不对的。其次，单从语法角度来看，B选项的“was”在前半个分句是系动词，后半句里面是被动语态的助动词，明显是不能省略的
