一个语法规则的确认

在比较结构中，如果涉及到be动词作为谓语，后面一项中，be动词可以省略，不知对否？从下面几道题总结的：

1. According to a survey of graduating medical students conducted by the Association of American Medical Colleges, minority graduates are nearly four times more likely than are other graduates in planning to practice in socioeconomically deprived areas.

(A) minority graduates are nearly four times more likely than are other graduates in planning to practice

对于比较结构中谓语省略的题还是不能较好的把握。

实战中句子的concise和LZM书中的谓语尽量补足原则似乎有相悖之处。不知如何取舍？

其实很简单，记住一下要点可以高枕无忧了：

比较结构

以下句子都是正确的：

Franklin plays tennis better than LQX.

Franklin plays tennis better than LQX does.

Franklin plays tennis better than does LQX

  对称性

比较结构中，比较对象要对等；优先选择含有that, these和those的选项（泛指），不选them/it（特指），比较对象一定要泛指

  省略性

比较结构中，相同的谓语动词可以省略，尤其是Be动词

  倒装性

比较结构中，than后面的句子可以倒装，也可以不倒装
