按照B的解释，介词短语with...和分词connected...并列修饰 "scales"
疑问： 1，两个并列修饰成分，不需要and连接吗

1,structures是修饰scales的，connected是修饰each，也就是structure的，没有并列修饰
2,each是独立主格形式
3,and前后不平行

刚又仔细看了一下verbal上面的解释，终于明白点了，

1.我觉得with...和connected...都在修饰句子主语 The Anasazi settlements

2. 但是of修饰名词，可以用逗号隔开吗？感觉很奇怪啊
另外我觉得each在这里不是独立主格的用法，在这里应该使用做副词，修饰structures
就像引用朗文中这个例句： the tickets cost $20 each.

3. D的错在改变了愿意

connected by a complex regional system of roads.
介词短语放在句中做定语，修饰scale

connected放句尾理论上可做定语修饰scale或者rooms
理论上也可做状语修饰整句句子，settlements是分词的主语
根据逻辑上，我觉得connected修饰settlements更加合理，因为是复杂地区系统的路连接的

看了看官方说法，发现我之前的理解也是错的with引导的介词短语作为定语是没错，但是因为逗号分隔的关系，其实是修饰后面的room的。
connected也是修饰rooms的

这里存在一个从大到小递进的解释： settlements(定居点)->structures->rooms, 因此with结构修饰settlements, of upto...修饰structures
