TO BE AN EXPATRIATE做主语比较AWKWARD（TO BE形式作主语都有点），用形式主语IT代替比较常见，
而且C中 long before to be an expatriate was fashionable挤在2个讲BAKER的有连贯意思的句子中间，打断思路，不如D中提前的清楚

我的理解。。。
and连接两个句子。C 选项完全不是一个句子。又说JB这个人made，后面还有一个was系动词。
