现在分词做定语的解答，请教NN，OG12-103

OG12 -103的帖子大多讨论语法意义平行。
原题: Yellow jackets number among the 900 or so species of the world's social wasps,wasps living in a highly cooperative and organized society where they consist almost entirely of females--the queen and her sterile female workers
正确选项：Yellow jackets number among the 900 or so species of the world's social wasps,wasps that live in a highly cooperative and organized society consisting almost entirely of females--the queen and her sterile female workers.

问题在于，如果明白consisting在名词后，做限定定语就很容易理解cooperative ，organized 和consisting 这三者修饰的都是society。
当有逗号的时候，现在分词在句尾做状语，表伴随动作，主语为主句的逻辑主语。
那么是否可以说现在分词没有逗号，做定语，修饰最近的名词呢？请NN指点

找到答案了。
当现在/过去分词在句中且前没有逗号,修饰前面紧邻名词
