但是我不理解。

在composer后并列两句由who和whose引导的从句，but作为连接词。

那么是不是在后面一句whose的从句中，又有两句句子，由and并列？他们的主语应该都是reputation，reputation可以做regains的主语么？难道reputation never regains its former status?

在看之前的讨论也看到有人讨论its的指代，认为是reputation，那么这句话就变成reputation never regains reputation's former status.我觉得很不顺啊！
