答案选D，但是这里had明显是实意动词啊，并非助动词，怎么可以补出呢。难道比较结构里也可以补出实意动词的吗，不解啊

年轻人有的责任心比他们的父母祖父辈有的少。

young people have 和 their parents and grandparents had 这两个比较

那请问 younger people eat more apples than their parents do, 这里的do不是助动词吗，这里如果补出动词的话补eat也是对的吗？

……LZ 你看一下“ 比较的” 用法（建议在坛子里搜索一下，than 比较用法之类的词汇）

这里的do 有一种省略的意思代替了“eat more apples ” ，GMAT 要求的语法的简介性。重复的时候就可以用简介的词汇来代替或者意思清晰的时候就可以省略。
