问：
1）
此题是如何判断对现在虚拟的？without it their grip on Algeria would never be（为什么不是would have never been） secure ？

2）assume 从句虚拟时候，应该是加should，且最好省略，但是此时为什么还用would呢？
without it their grip on Algeriawould never be secure
