弱弱的说我是在A和B之间迷惑的，其实我很不懂这个句子的句意啊。。。。为什么B中用过去完成时就会产生歧义呢？求大牛解释，

这种夹心装经常会发生错误
你想想中间的现在分词既可以修饰前面，也可以修饰后面，会造成句意的紊乱

可是我看到B中的then就觉得 had done 是可以的。。。因为觉得它这个动作发生在 earned as director of adult education for London之前

时态应该是相同的，才符合逻辑意思。作者的意思是说大象和他赚的一样多，一种幽默的举例。逻辑意思上讲，也是同时的INCOME比较才有效果。而且如二楼说的，the elephant, giving rides to....感觉比较奇怪

我一开始也纠结在A,B选项，后来觉得吧，这个大象赚的钱和她赚的钱是一个表达收入分配不均的例子，收入分配不均肯定是同时发生的两件事比较，所以时态要保持一致，后面是过去时（earned)，前面也应该是过去时，就把B排除了。
