依旧是这两个选项，为什么D 不正确，无论是从句意理解还是主动优于被动来看，D都没有问题，反倒是C选项两句话的主语不同，读起来很别扭。大家觉得呢？

D means scientists had to remove the 'synthetic growth hormone', which is actually illogical. you cannot remove synthetic growth hormone from nature.

C means scientists had to remove the 'growth hormone' from nature.

That's why C is correct.
Very tricky.... I'd chose D too if during a test..thanks for sharing!
