主要纠结的选项是（E）、（D), 正确选项是(E), OG 对于（D）选项的解释是：This sentence is a little awkward(the article a in a part is unnecessary) and says something rather different; as a part of a deal to make suggests that the deal itself includes making the company the largest manufacturer rather than its being the outcome of the deal. 我想大概就是说deal是结果不是目的吧，但我总觉得to make 在这里表目的，也就是说执行deal的目的是make...market也说得过去啊，有木有神马更有说服力的解释？还有，a part of 和part of有神马区别吗？

正确答案是（B), 可我怎么读这个句子都不是很顺口，可能是因为逗号有点多，其中又有逗号后面跟了一个of，以前很少见到这种结构的句子。。。哪位大虾帮我分析一下句子结构啊，跪求中。。。

PS:本小女初涉CD,发现这里真是一块宝地，目前就读大二，周围无战友，孤身奋战甚是艰辛，所以觉得CD才能让我找到心灵的归属，衷心希望和大家成为好朋友，在杀G的路上共同奋斗，互相帮助，互相鼓励！！！！！

大二就着手准备，比我早多了。。。勤奋的小盆友~
第一题，OG的解释非常清楚。用新东方的方法来看呢，就是尽量少改变句子内容，原句用什么，就用什么，除非是原句用错了。所以如果你不了解 a part of 和 part of 的区别，不知道应该用that还是to就看原句。其实这句话真正有错误的地方是 which的非限和as的介宾的区分。所以也只有这个地方错了，改过来就行了。
如果，不是从应试的角度，而是从语法的角度，a part of指一小部分（通常不超过一半），part of只强调部分内容，part of 通常可以代替a part of.(这两个phrase区分的真的不是很精细，所以如果以后碰到了，就说明一定有其他的突破点)。to介宾在这里做目的状语，强调deal的目的是为了“make it the largest manufacturer”（公司的目的是最大，手段是收购）。但是如果是定语从句，且动词是will make，表达的含义则是：公司的目的是为了收购，而很巧合的，收购使得公司最大（公司的目的是收购，副作用是成为最大）。所以意思是不一样的。

第二题只是复杂修饰，很入门的难度，做多了就能一眼看穿了：
on a spectacular scale, [with more than 75 carefully engineered structures(, of up to 600 rooms each,) connected by a complex regional system of roads]. 这样是不是就看懂了？, of ... ,只不过是插入在了另一个独立结构（with介宾）的宾语structure和他的后定connected之间罢了~

我觉得是时态，要和前面的will purchase一致。

只有名词才有同位语，所以如果 a part 要做同位语，只能做宾语的同位语，即the color-printing division的同位语，但是逻辑上明显说不通，所以合理的解释只有一个，你这种断句的方式错了

原句的意思是the color-printing division of a rival company for $950 million是deal的一部分，而这个deal才是make it the largest manufacturer的发出者。D中后面是to make，其发出者是全句主语computer company，句意改变了。
关于a part of和part of的区别，这里面由于充当part的是purchase后那一长段宾语，加上定冠词这种严谨数数的修饰不恰当。我看过一个例子：
Confidence, in addition to skill, is part of what's necessary for success in this game.
The arm is a part of the human body.
对于此题同样不能准确指出数量的case（或者你可以直接说他是不可数），优选part of。

另外，B中a part做同位语修饰的只是$950million，扭曲句意了。
