context, it must refer to something (unlike in phrases

OG解释说“it”必须指代~~此处不是一个强调句嘛，强调句的it需要指代吗？

个人看法.

it是代词, 必须要有指代对象.

至于你说的强调句, 首先我觉得GMAT里面一般都用倒装之类的结构来表示强调, 其次我们中学里学的It is X that这种结构偏向口语化, 不适用书面正式用语, 最后如果用的是类似于It is X that is Y的句型, 必错. 完全可以改为X is Y.

谢谢啦~~咱们以前学判断强调句的时候，一个重要的标志就是去掉it is ...that句子仍然成立，C选项的句子就成立，那怎么来区分是强调句还是it为代词？

在GMAT的语法中it is...that...的强调句一般是不认可的，因为书面语中基本不用。不过若是其他选项有语法、固定搭配错误这种硬伤，那就只能选择强调句了。
