正确答案E 我想请问这里的them不会出现对the rural或是legitimate subjects指代不清的歧义么？还是因为consider the rural legitimate subjects从句意上the rural 和legitimate subjects就是等同的，所以them指代其中任何一个都是可以的？

一个是portray (them),
理解上还是很清楚的。

我觉得句子千变万化，
如果作者能够清楚的传达意思就行，
就读者我单独来看来看，the rural poor = them没有问题。
