除了退学不读博士,其他的再典型不过了。没什么好过虑。

The Phd thing might actually be a dent that works against you. Did you get a master's when you quit? Otherwise, you have to come up with a damn good reason to cover one-year gap in employment history

Hey there—this IS an interesting experience.  And to be honest, it COULD work in your favor.  It is almost as though you have two choices: first, you could show yourself to be unfocused.  Confused.  Disorganized.  L  If you make a few mistakes on your app, this COULD be what you present to the admissions people.  But, if you do it the OTHER way—that is, if you are VERY SMART, you could use this background to your ADVANTAGE.  So many other Chinese applicants would have been happy with the full scholarship, research, etc.  But the fact that you WERE NOT happy with that will be to your advantage!  Use it that way. Write your apps in such a way that this background is something you are PROUD of.  Something that is unique, and that shows how bold, aggressive, and unique you are.  J  That is your best bet—if you can do this, you will be just fine this year.  But make sure to use this unusual experience to show your boldness!  And good luck my friend.
