难道答案是B就能说明contributedto the extinction of修饰的是global forest fires吗？global forest fires ignited by a meteorite impact contributed to theextinction of。。。这样的句子不可以认为contributedto the extinction of修饰的是a meteorite impact吗？

一楼的问题没看懂，说的是原句吗？that 指代肯定是模糊的，不清晰；另外逻辑含义也不对,theory怎么能导致灭忙呢？

B选项，二楼你理解有点问题
global forest fires( ignited by a meteorite impact )contributed to the extinction of the dinosaurs and many other creatures some 65 million years ago.
你看看这个句子，这个句子主语是global forest fires, 括号内部分是后置定语修饰前者面的global forest fires; 而contributed to 是谓语
