问一个比较弱智的问题

作题时发现自己对现在分词的使用还是有问题.

Framed by traitorous colleagues, Alfred Dreyfus was imprisoned for twelve years before there was exoneration and his freedom.

(A) there was exoneration and his freedom

(B) he was to be exoneration with freedom

(C) being exonerated and freed

(D) exoneration and his freedom

(E) being freed, having been exonerated

问一个比较弱智的问题,before doing something, somebody did something, 这种结构和语法对吗?

此种结构是否跟现在分词句首作状语一样.

Doing something, somebody did something.

这里现在分词句首作状语,现在分词或过去分词有没有时态上的考虑??有什么象"现在主动进行,过去被动完成"的规则吗?

这里好象不是你说的那种结构，应该是后面的状语从句省略，我觉得，但也不是很清楚，陪你一起等NN出现。

但这到题用排除法可以把答案做出来，或者看着也觉得C比较顺眼。
