我在这里将其理解为插入语  是否理解错误。
关于插入语一般是为名词性结构或者是句子？or ？？？？（是否有介词短语。。。。。

很明显的没有动词的fragment啊，你把哪个能理解成插入语？。。

A的错误很明显在于，a work that 后面的部分不完整。that后应该是个完整的句子，但实际上除去,taking him several years until completion这个修饰成分，什么都没有。
