     答案是E。请教A的by using是否错？？

      这个题目，我上来就排除A，B，理由是没有different than的用法。

       后来无意中一查字典，发现了different than美语中可以这样用的，大为欣喜，与大家分享：（以下是WEBSTER的注解）

      Numerous commentators have condemned different than in spite of its use since the 17th century by many of the best-known names in English literature. It is nevertheless standard and is even recommended in many handbooks when followed by a clause, because insisting on from in such instances often produces clumsy or wordy formulations.

      就是说：

than后只能接句子，其他都用from来代替，from后接句子累赘

"By using" is redundant; you either use "with" or "using" in this case.  "By" is less desirable here, cuz "the company's earnings" is a kind of resource you have in hand, whereas the word "resale" after "by" entails a course of action before which "by" is preferred.

A答案是“通过利用收益来还清”这个动作来还清，而E答案，是利用“收益”本身来还清。

应该是后者更合适。
