I am actually studying MSc in finance in UK school. (other than Cam) When you are an insider of the bschool, you will find the huge difference between the US and UK school, either from the publiched papers and international reputation. Nevertheless, few people can withstand the lure of Cam or Oxford while if you are planning to land your job in ibanking industry, just go States and do it. (Besides, $2,500 is a big sum of money, isn't it?)
surely I think that maybe I can learn more form rice and US, however, everyperson I met in my daily life tell me that they think cambridge are more famous and more valuable. Oh it is the Oxbridge brand, can I deny it?
But as fas as I known, even the top Chinese graduates from Oxbridge or LBS can not make sure that they will secure a investment banking job after graduation. (I know that it is the same as in US, while UK government require international student to apply for the working permit in order to work in UK legally. I am rejected by couple of Recruiters such as RBS Capital Markets etc. only for this concern.) Besides, Cam's finance is not even so good as some other universities. Just go to their finance department and try to find the number of full time professor and their publications in top European Finance related journal, you may find a answer. However, if you will choose to land your job in China afterwards, you may put more weights on "general reputation" to Cam than Rice, anyway. Good Luck
