A, 对chemistry这样的名词用following应该是ETS的大忌了, vision也明显简洁.答案错的很多了

The theory of relativity did not follow Sir Issac Newton??? 别扭不?

我也选A，死活想不通是B~~~，有时候，这些套题的作者给出的答案不一定正确的。只有ETS给出的答案才是正确的。

且不说following等等，B的明显错误是后半句：his envisioning of a new chemistry that H－D hoped to found

应该是 an envisioning that HD hoped to found吧
