Cambridge MBA
The following are the quotes from the Marketing Manager of the program.
==============================================================
So who are we looking for?
We want students who are well-rounded, collaborative and intelligent, with excellent communication skills, who are keen to share ideas and experiences.
Educational background / performance: a strong undergraduate transcript is increasingly important. In general students from top universities, who have graduated in the top 25% of their class, are more likely to be admitted.
Work experience / performance: an average of five (minimum two) years' full-time work, with evidence of managerial experience, responsibility and promotion will enable the student to contribute to class discussions, the project work, and benefit fully from the teaching on the MBA. It is such a practical program. Besides, Cambridge has strong reputation for academic excellence as well.
GMAT - a good balanced GMAT score (verbal, quantitative and analytical writing) demonstrates that the student has the variety of skills required to complete the MBA. Our average GMAT has been increasing year-on-year, and currently a score above 630 is competitive (the average for 2003 is 680).
References - strong recommendations from employers, peers and professors are extremely important in giving us a more objective perspective on the likelihood of a student benefiting from the MBA
International Exposure - this is important given the diverse national make-up of the Cambridge MBA class, and also given that MBA employers are increasingly expecting this on a CV.
