介词短语位于句首，后面紧跟谓语，立刻想到倒装的可能。
也就是说
Prep. + N1. +V. +N2.的句法必为倒装句，真正的主词在后面的N2.
还原回来则是N2. +V. +Prep. + N1.

实际上不一定是介词短与位于句首，只要是主词补语位于句首就有倒装句的可能。
也就是S.C. +V. +N2.

倒装饰为了避免头重脚轻，你把这句还原看看就知道还原句头有多重，造成理解困难。

(D)的选项语意逻辑错误，在怎么样平衡对称都还是错。
(D)选项的逻辑是这样的：

但(E)cattle breeders have increasingly used crossbreeding是为了acquire certain characteristics in their steers。
时间顺序上应该是先进行行混种才能在小牛身上acquire certain characteristics，
(E)清楚表达了这层时间关系与表达目的而非因果。
