两题中B的表达是unidiomatic的，另外，BEFORE作为介词后面紧跟-ING形式时，只要其逻辑主语与主句一致，

比起BEFORE作为连词引导一个状语从句更加简洁，而且也不会有任何歧义。

另外，题目中BEFORE后的两个动词是并列的关系。

a:there be 句型不对

b：be to do句型不对

d: 结构不对称

e：时态不对称

我的理解

我认为这道题补全了应该是Framed by traitorous colleagues, Alfred Dreyfus was imprisoned for twelve years before he was exonerated and freed. 为了更简洁的表达，把从句中主谓相同的部分省略掉，但是exonerated and freed不能直接加在before 后面，所以用了being.

不过，我觉得倒不如这么理解吧——

GMAT考BEFORE，最常考的就是两种：

before作介词：后面要么跟名词，要么跟-ING形式，这题就是。

BEFORE作连词，后面跟句子。显然，这题，如果是 before he was exonerated and freed，BEFORE就是连词，也未尝不可，可是ETS不喜欢，因为它觉得这样罗嗦了-就是OG里解释常说的redundent。既然主从句都是同一个主语，为什么要重复呢。
