答案是C选项. 解释说,还原后的句子可理解为both the northern and the southern Indian alphabets derive from script . 我的困惑是, N&S alphabets 应该是were derived from script. 所以当初看C选项是觉得少了were,所以没选而选了D. Alphabets能自己主动derive from script吗? 这好像逻辑不通. 有没有谁理解的比较好的可以解释一下? 谢谢.

又看了一次E选项。 Prep解释说错误原因是and deriving把deriving and brining变成了并列形式，所以把derive后边的也变成了主句的伴随状语。由Achaemenid empire of Persia 做bring和derive的主语有什么不对啊？ Achaemenid empire of Persia bring了script, 也derive了alphabets from the script.

再补充一点，如果alphabets可以主动derive from script, 那么 “these words are derived from Chinese" 为什么要用被动语态。明显words自己不能derive, 是某人derive 了words from Chinese. 同理，是不是也是Achaemenid empire of Persia derive 了alphabets from script了呢？

我的理解是后面的是从前面derive出来的，本来就应该是主动啊......
