Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?It is better to have one or two close friends than to have a large number of casual aquaintances.

There are some people who think that it is better to have one or two close friends, but others prefer to have a large number of casual aquaintances. I would have to say that, after thinking thoroughly, I would probably follow the idea that it is better to have one or two very close friends than the other point of view. I would like to reason and provide evidence to support my viewpoint.

This has always been difficult for one to choose between these two ideas. As far as I am concerned, having one or two really close friends means having someone that I can totally trust. For example, I may invite him or her to have my birthday party at home disregarding the concerns of embarrassment, quarrels and safety. Also I can share my secrets and worries with them who sincerely would like to patiently listen to, which can relieve my pressure and sorrow. Close friends can be regarded as part of one’s life with whom he or she would live with more happiness and confidence.

Likewise the significant aspect that friends can share one’s feelings and personal informations, it is also of great help when confronted with difficulties in study or business to have several close friends. However, having a large number of casual aquaintances may offer one more choices when trapped in troubles, but compared with cooperating with one close friend in business or study, casual aquaintances seem to be less loyal and trustworthy.

Having given some advantages of having several close friends in life, it is not to say this is the perfect option for one. It may be boring to have only one or two friends though they can be well trusted. Associating with different kinds of people can certainly broad one’s horizon and let one learn more about communication which is indispensable to the big picture of one’s life.

To sum up, having discussed the ideas above, which sometimes intertwine to form a organized whole and thus become more persuasive. It can be safely concluded that the advantages of having one or two close friends far outweigh the ones having a large number of casual aquaintances. In fact, not only do I prefer to the former idea, but also prefer to meeting more people and having as more close friends as possible.

Be careful about grammar, something like "it is not to say that this is the perfect option for one." Besides that, I feel you wrote a GMAT essay, good job.

Need to improve the sentence structure, I could understand some of your sentences. Pay attention to the spellings and the verbs.
