Nowadays, food has become easier to prepare. Has this change improved the way people live?
There is discussion on whether the fact that food become easier to prepare make our live better recently. Those who advocate that it does good to our life argue that it really saves time, but people who criticize it, on the other hand, argue that it reduce the quality of people’s life. In my opinion, it isn’t a waste of time for us to spend some times on preparing food. In the following passage, I will show my points of view and give some examples.
First of all, the change that food is easier to prepare reduces the quality of people’s life to some extent. Those foods which are easy to prepare usually doesn’t have a good-looking packaging. Fast food provides a typical example of the easy-made food. Nowadays, fast food restaurant is the favorite of an increasing number of people. There is no doubt that it offers the energy we need to maintain our life, but when having this kind of food, we just treat it as a way to live, not a way to enjoy the life. Obviously, all the evidence supports an undoubted conclusion that those foods worsen people’s life.
Secondly, the food which is easier to make do harm to people’s health, since it contains a lot of fat. In America, the number of big people has been rising quickly in the past few years, which results from the popularity of fast food. Though it provides the energy we need for us, the fat is too high for us to consume. The story is not rare; it is one of many examples.
Sure, no one can deny the importance of the easy-made food; it takes us less time making the fancy food and creates more working time. The movie I’ve watched, for instance, has a few scene about those officers were busy dealing with something, so they have the easy-made food in a short time and continued working. All available evidence goes to show that it is necessary for those men to have those foods. However, it’s still essential for us to slow our pace of life, and of course, a tasty meal play a role in it.
From what has been discussed above, we could safely draw the conclusion that the change that food is easier to make doesn’t improve people’s life actually.
