楼上可能误会楼主的意思了...

as...as可能向前修饰language,也可能向后修饰后面的it，体会一下意思的区别（其实也不必去想意思，修饰对象不同了，状语伴随的主体改变了，意思也肯定就改变了）。it指代language没有指代问题，Maya's 是个所有格，不能被it指代。

关于这道题的不确信的地方，望指教

所以but后面的it可以指代languages

不是It的问题。

原句的意思是：“比不上Maya的那般高度复杂，同时，本质上又是Pictographic的”，是一个并列若递进关系

而However表示转折，转折在哪里呢，实在看不出来啊。

请问，代词（IT）什么时候可以确认指代最近的那个词，什么时候又是前面有多个词就算指代不清呢，搞不清了

此题没有明白为什么PREP的解释上说as...as结构在句中有歧义，我认为这个结构不象like或是as放在句中的情况，这两种情况的比较对象可能会发生歧义，但是as...as结构放在句中比较对象和结果都很明确，为什么会有歧义，不明白。插入语放在句中，进一步说明前面的某个结构，如果说not as...这个插入结构既可以修饰前面的written language又可以修饰后面的it，我觉得好像不对，这样说来任何插入语都会出现这样的问题，既可以修饰前面，又可以修饰后面了。（且这里的it也指代written language吧）

E的问题我只看到however由于在逗号之前，只能作为副词修饰插入语成分，后面的句子缺少连词。望各位NN指教！
