这题选A，但是was前面的that不能省略吧？他省略了不就和前面的fossils并列了吗！~

把that看做这句句子的主语，and前后的主语如果一样的话是要省略的。

而且这里很难引起歧义。
fossil和was....不可能并列的

原来that是做的主语~原来我想的是was前没有that所以肯定是和fossils并列，但是是复数所以was不对，呵呵
