关于比较的一个小问题

看到 Domestic automobile manufacturers have invested millions of dollars in research to develop cars even more gasoline-efficient than those at present on the road.这句话中的those比较是对的，因为ron说"at present" isn't part of the parallel construction; it's an idiomatic expression with the same meaning as the word "now". i.e., you could write this as ...than those now on the road, and the meaning would stick. so that is a non-issue. 但是[img]blob:https://forum.chasedream.com/2de132b6-eec4-486b-8cdc-bfb8635744d8[/img]这道题中的B的比较又是错的我认为这道题里面是“后面说that during 10,000 years，前面也要说the growth of ___ during something else” 但是那句句子是“后面说those at present, 理论上来说前面不是也要说 cars ___（某个时间点吗）” 求大牛解释
PS：关于什么宾语比较谓语比较我一直不太懂..所以我都是用RON的方法做比较的，但是经常会碰到一些我觉得的例外，所以望大牛帮忙解释一下，大后天就要考了，非常感谢！！！！

B) Since 1990 the growth of the global economy has been more than that during 10,000 years, from when agriculture began.
C) The growth of the global economy since 1990 exceeds that which had been for 10,000 years from the beginning of agriculture.
D) The growth of the global economy since 1990 exceeds what it has been for 10,000 years, from when agriculture began
E) The growth of the global economy since 1990 exceeds what it did for the 10,000 years from the beginning of agriculture.
