假设一个动名词为主语，DOING N 且DOING 可以支配N 那是以N的单复数判断整句话谓语单复数吗？
我曾问过的是
Rising inventories 是一个动名词词组，作为一个整体，应该是单数吧，而且这个词我觉得是动作性的。这道题我理解了，但动名词怎么判断单复数，有点晕。
还有我查牛津高阶例句rise可做及物动词，但是也看客接BY 如：
He river has risen (by) several metres.
Unemployment rose (by) 3%.那以后做题RISE就当只有不及物的用法吗？

这个是than it had for any previous campaign的省略阿

这题考点似乎不是这个。A, C unaccompanied表达不对，应该是no accompanied. B，D possibly 多余
从句应该用can or will.

其实做gmat语法题不要太深究一个个语法规则。。遵循简单，准确的表达原则是最重要的。。。

less of certain pollutants 不应该用less吧，pollutants啊，这题没问题？

我觉得这道题需要从题意而不仅仅是语法上去理解，我支持E是正确答案。

为什么用less：首先我们根据常识可以知道pollutant是不可数的，复数形式只是用于表示多种pollutant的分类。从分类来讲可以是复数的，但是从排放量来讲则是不可数的。

than后面必须显式指明比较对象，those指代vehicles，B的含义变成同一辆车的两种不同动力情况下的排污量对比，逻辑上说不通。

恩，支持hughlv的观点。E是正确的。B的话比较对象不一致。
